On September 30th, nearly 550 people were in attendance for the NAC Soul Purpose, 3rd annual All Praise and Thanks, community concert, which was also streamed live.
The annual concert brings together Christian choirs from the Kitchener-Waterloo area for an evening of giving thanks through music. This year Soul Purpose was joined by two returning groups, the Soul Purpose Children’s Choir and The Leupold Chorale. The First United Church Waterloo Children’s Choir, Kitchener Mennonite Brethren Church Choir and The Salvation Army Band were welcomed warmly by concert goers, for their first time performing in the concert.
The finale piece, Thou Gracious God, selected by conductor Mike St. Denis, was performed En Masse; bringing together 148 musician, including bagpiper Jonathan Fleming, for a moving and powerful close to this Thanksgiving event.
Due to the generosity and compassion of those in attendance, we were able to raise $1890 for The Coping Centre of Cambridge.
